Hi, I'm Psychiatrist Dr. Nipul Mahanta
Dr. Nipul Mahanta joined the State Health Service in 1991 and later specialized in psychiatry, completing his Post Graduate Diploma (DPM) in 2012 before rejoining the service. Since then, he has been serving as the District Nodal Officer of the District Mental Health Program (DMHP).
He is also the District Nodal Officer of the Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF) at SMK Hospital, Nalbari—the only ATF Centre in Assam, supported by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Alongside his official responsibilities, Dr. Mahanta is associated with ASHROI NGO as a Health Service Provider and actively contributes to Navajeevan, where he extends medical support and free treatment to underprivileged and marginalized people.
